Es Taqueria Michoacan – Local Business

By Lydia Robinson

Es Taqueria Michoacan is a local business. Meria Varga, a student at East High School, who’s mother is the owner of Es Taqueria Michoacan and Los Pinches Tacos. Ricarda is a hard worker and owns two businesses. She knows how it feels to have no money and how it feels to have some money. She lived in Chicago, IL before coming to Green Bay, WI. She and her family made tacos for big events in Chicago and came to Green Bay for an event and fell in love with Green Bay. Now Ricarda owns two of her own business in Green bay “Los Pinches Tacos” and “Es Taqueria Michoacan”

Some advice that Ricarda would give to high school students is to work hard and be willing to fight for what you want to do. You need to be willing to move and want to go forward in life. If you want to get somewhere in life  you can’t stay in the same spot. Ricarda still wants to move forward but makes sure to keep God first.

Both Es Taqueria Michoacan and Los Pinches Tacos hire high school students. Ricarda really wants to give everybody in life a chance. She wants to be accessible to everybody. Ricarda knows how it feels to have little money. She states that she knows what it is like to want to buy something but be unable to due to lack of money.

Covid affected Ricarda’s business but not here in America: it affected her all the way across the world. They told her that she had to close her business down because Covid. Shutting down was really hard for her to do. It was really hard for her to find employees that wanted work after Covid because of the spread of germs and you can easily find jobs over line using technology.

Myself and Abigail Garica went to  Es Taqueria last week and ordered fajitas. The  fajitas were amazing and so delicious. The horchata  was the freshest horchata I ever had. It tasted like it was all hand made and they grow the rice in their own backyard lake. The size of the large cup was so big! It was way bigger than my head. Es Taqueria Michoacan was so beautiful and well decorated for the day of the dead.

Ricarda would like to buy another business in the near future.
